New Year’s Eve gave reason to celebrate… and decorate! Hosting an intimate dinner party meant warm and glowing centerpieces were in order. Happy 2012!
happy happy.
very merry.
dazee lives free and looks cute doing it.
I like to think that happy outcomes tend to follow life’s sad moments, which is how Vassar and I came to have Dazee (pronounced “Daisy”). Yes, I am officially a (overly-proud-and-too-often-glowing-cellphone-photo-showing) golden retriever owner.
In case you haven’t yet had the opportunity to be bombarded with my iPhone snapshots, here is this afternoon’s New Hampshire beach adventure.

Eeeeeeeeeee isn’t she perfect?!
hello, jp.
meet your inner artist.
We all have a camera that takes instant snapshots, or in a few cases, captures compositionally genius moments in an easy digital format. But how often do you actually DO something with those photos besides post them on facebook? And how often do you look at the walls of your home and think “that spot is perfect for something but I’m just not sure what”?
Thanks to Easy Canvas Prints, we have the simplest solution: an inexpensive and fun canvas printed photograph! Select your size, upload your photo, choose your border (it can be colored, a continuation of the image or a reflection) and ta-da – nifty art that’s fully customized and created by you.
With a rainy-June-longing for a day spent in a Hilton Head beach chair, I determined the perfect subject for my new wall art. Just a few clicks and two business days… Look at my adorable 8′ x 10′ creation in it’s perfectly packaged box!
And wrapped neatly in a protective plastic covering.

The perfect piz-azz for a formerly dull wall.
Don’t you love the reflected image along the edge? Personalized gift idea, perhaps?

Who’s up for a day at the beach!?
all i want for vday…

love recap.
What better way to head into Valentine’s Day weekend than with a wedding recap? Remember Amanda & Chris’s wedding last July? They were finally featured in Greenwich Magazine! Click the photo by Mary Alice Fisher below for the story and more photos.
PS. For those who were curious about the result of my Super Sunday Pretzels – they were a huge hit and you MUST try them!! Mmm.
super sunday snack.
hello, it’s been awhile.
Between jet lag (yes that lasted a whole five weeks), going to the gym an unusual amount and consuming copious homemade pizza pies (the second of this week is presently in the oven – it’s only Wednesday), I have neglected my little blog. And for that, I am very sorry because I know that all of you are in an utter state of disarray due to my lack of insightful posts.
Well, never fear – I am back! And with two affordable, chic, spring accessories that I have been obsessing over all morning. Thanks to today’s launch of High Gloss magazine – an awesome online mag for anyone style intruiged – you too can dream of spring in this snow storm while fawning over fancy accessories for home and self. All 181 pages are stocked with gorgeous photos depicting everything from fashion to interiors, accessories, dinner parties and lots and lots of swoon-able throw pillows.
First, let’s talk about Furbish Studio. This site is glorious and why I have only just discovered it is really a lifesaver for my wallet. Throw pillows! Trays! Custom puppy beds! And pretty Aztec inspired bracelets…
And in keeping with my recent flat frenzy and my current yearning for spring – these precious patent yellow ballerinas are just what the doctor ordered for a dose of cheer both on the foot and in the bank. What did we do before Target?
Put the two together and you get a pair of shoes I’ve been obsessing over for too many weeks. Pretty meets Navajo meets please be mine (and on sale)!
I’m a size 8.
